Places not to miss during your day trip to Saint-Malo

🏘️ Intra-muros
This is the place to visit! Surrounded by ramparts, the historic city centre of Saint-Malo contains many treasures.

Go through the large stone gate of Saint-Vincent and stroll along the pretty cobbled streets.

On your way you will find many shops where you can find souvenirs or taste delicious culinary specialities such as the galette saucisse and the kouign amann.
Don't miss the Saint-Malo castle: listed as a historical monument, this medieval building was built in the 15th century!

Finally, climb the steps that will take you to the top of the ramparts: you will inevitably come across one of its many entrances during your stroll. You will then be able to walk around the inner city while enjoying an exceptional view.


🏰 The National Fort
Situated opposite intra-muros on an island accessible only at low tide, the Fort National is a bastion dating from the 17th century.

The monument is open during the school holidays of Easter, All Saints' Day and every day from June 1st to September 30th.

⛱️ The Grande Plage du Sillon
What could be better than to continue your day's escapade in Saint-Malo with a walk along the beach? Starting from the inner city, you can walk along the city's largest beach.

On the programme: a 2.5 kilometre walk with a breathtaking landscape.

You can also enjoy the view from the terrace of one of the cafés along the coast.
